Info

The San Diego Footvolley 2024 league is excited to announce its upcoming season, featuring an inclusive and competitive format that caters to a wide range of players. This year, the league will have four men’s divisions, three women’s divisions, and one mixed division, ensuring an engaging experience for all participants.

Throughout the year, each category will host three stages, adopting the “King of the Beach” format. This unique format does not involve fixed partners, allowing all players the opportunity to play with each other. It’s a fantastic way to enhance versatility and teamwork among participants while keeping the competition fresh and dynamic.

After each stage, the top six finishers will earn points towards their category’s ranking. These points are crucial as they accumulate over the year. After the third and final stage, the points from all stages are tallied. The two athletes with the highest total points across these three stages will move up to the next higher category, signifying their skill improvement and consistent performance. Conversely, the two athletes with the lowest total points will face relegation to a lower category, allowing them to regroup and strive for better results in the next season.

Each division will have its own individual point system, ensuring fair competition and clear tracking of progress for all involved. This structure not only fosters a competitive spirit but also encourages personal growth and community building within the footvolley world.
